Happy Monday! My little blessings are 5 months old! I can't believe how fast they are growing. I say this every month! I took Ava to the doctor on Friday. She has an ear infection. My poor girl. She is antibiotics are doing much better. I took these pictures before their bottle. Not very happy babies. Lol
I can't believe how much we love our precious twins. They are such a joy and double blessing! I am reminded of what we were doing this time last year. I knew I was pregnant, and after a battle with infertility, we were feeling extremely blessed. And the joy over pouring this year as we get to celebrate with our 3 beautiful children! Ava: Weight and height: She weighed 13 lbs 8 oz on Friday. No shots this month, yay! Eating: She drinks 4 bottles of formula at about 6 oz each. She is drinking every 4 hours. I started them on rice cereal right at 4 months after their morning bottle. She is getting much better at drinking her bottles. We will increase her to 6 1/2 oz then 7 oz this week. Sleeping: She sleeps after her 8pm bottle until 630am or so. She was not sleeping much for 2 nights before I took her to the doctor. She usually takes 2 hour naps between 9-11am and 1-3pm or 1 long nap in the afternoon, and then 1 more nap In the evening. Usually about 30 mins.
We transferred them to their nursery! She has been sleeping great in her crib! Schedule: 7am Bottle 8am Cereal 9-11am Nap 11am Bottle 1-3pm Nap 3pm Bottle
6-630pm Nap 7pm Bath 730pm Bottle 8pm-7am Sleep Clothes: She is wearing 3-6 month and 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. Social: She is my little smiling and laughing girl now! She is talking a lot more and loves talking to her twin brother. She is responding to us by babbling away. Loves to play with her car seat toys and her little doll. She is blowing bubbles and raspberries. She is starting to make same noises we make to her. Developmental: She has been turning from back to tummy. She did that a couple of days after turning 3 months. She is up on her forearms and holds her head pretty well on her tummy and reaches for toys. She stands holding her weight on her feet. She loves sucking on her hands and blowing bubbles. She loves to sit on her bumbo seat. Has flipped in her car seat (she was sitting in there unbuckled at my aunt's house), and the bath tub. She can sit on her for about 1 minute in tripod mode. She can hold a toy with both hands and puts everything in her mouth. We think she is starting to teeth because she wants something to soothe her gums all the time. Likes: Sleeping on her tummy during nap time, daddy rocking her to sleep (uh-oh), and talking to anyone who listens. Loves to hear mommy call her the little princess. Aiden: Weight and height: No appointment this month. If I had to guess, he's closer to 13 lbs 14 oz. Eating: He drinks 4 bottles of formula at about 7 oz each. He is drinking every 4 hours. I started them on rice cereal right at 4 months after their morning bottle. He loves to eat rice cereal. I let him try oatmeal, and is still a little to thick for him. Sleeping: He sleeps after his 8pm bottle until 730am or so. He will usually sleep longer than Ava. He usually takes 2 hour naps between 9-11am and 1-3pm or 1 long nap in the afternoon. He will also take a cat nap before bath. He sleeps in his crib in the nursery. Loves to sleep on his tummy, so I switch him to his back once we go to bed at about 1030pm. Schedule: 7am Bottle 8am Cereal 9-11am Nap 11am Bottle 1-3pm Nap 3pm Bottle
6-630pm Nap 7pm Bath 730pm Bottle 8pm-7am Sleep Clothes: He is wearing 3-6 month and 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. Social: He is my little smiling and laughing, sweet boy. He is talking a lot more and loves talking to his twin sister. He is responding to us by babbling away. Loves to play with his hands. He giggles at everybody! Developmental: He is up on his forearms and holds his head up while on his tummy. He stands holding his weight on his feet. He loves sucking on his hands. He can sit in bumbo seat.He is starting to sit better, assisted. He can reach for a toy on his tummy. He is also rolling from back to tummy and vice versa. He can hold a toy with both hands and puts everything in his mouth. Likes: Sleeping on his tummy during nap time and talking to anyone who listens. He is my sweet boy and just started shrieking! He is always excited to see people. He loves to play in the exersaucer. He absolutely adores crib mobiles and will talk to the monkeys.

Our babies are two months old! I can't believe how fast they are growing!
Ava: She weighs 10lbs 2 oz and is 21 7/8 in long. She is wearing 0-3 month clothing and size 1 diapers. She is drinking between 3 3/4-4 oz of formula/ breast milk. She is our little princess and will cry at once if she doesn't like what you are doing. Like holding her finger to cut her nails, not the cutting part! She can hold her head up on her tummy and switch from side to side. She rolled from tummy to back at my mom's (in her crib) and scared herself. She likes bath time, as it will calm her if she is crying. She loves holding someone's finger. She can guzzle her bottle in one gulp, but will let you know right away if she doesn't want bottle. She'll give you a yucky face. Lol
Aiden: He weighs 9 lbs 3 oz (he's catching up to sister!) and is 21 in long. He is wearing newborn clothing still, but switching over to 0-3 months very soon. He wears size 1 diaper and drinking 4oz of formula/ breast milk. He has acid reflux and the doctor switched him to Prevacid. He is doing much better on Prevacid. He takes longer to feed, as we have to pause a lot to burp him. B will be done feeding Ava in 20 mins, and takes me closer to 45-50 mins to feed Aiden. He can hold his head up while on his tummy and switch from side to side. He loves holding someone's finger, especially when scared. He looks more like mommy's side of the family with his little round face and wide forehead.

Our little angels keep growing! They are trying to sleep longer at night and we would gladly love it if they would do it every night. They can sometimes sleep after 8pm feeding until 1am. Here is to hoping its a routine from now on!
We just started taking the babies and its nice to get out of the house with them.

Took the babies to doctor yesterday. They are doing good. Got Aiden on a different reflux medicine, Prevacid. We are hoping this one works better. Ava is on an eye antibiotic. Aiden weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and Ava, 9 lbs 2 oz (6 weeks 4 days). He is catching up to her!
